Date logged Event
July-Sept 2022: Route development outings.
July-2022 : Team-work event to maintain the path network (primarily the main path going down to the base of the crag and along the entire base to the north end). The ridge crest path also was re-opened to make access easier to reach certain route project goals.
Aug-2022 : Team-work event to enhance the ridge crest path to make it more stable for ease of walking upon (parts of which as quite steep). The enhancements completed should help it to remain in great condition for a number of years ahead.
June-2023 : Project efforts:
- inspection - North ridge path in good stable condition.
- minor enhancement along the main base path at far north end.
- south path enhancement to new single route at far south end.
- minor enhancements on main steep descent path where several sections needed minor refinement.
Some of this involved brush getting trimming back. Some involved re-freshing a walkable path (like the north path) to get it into a walkable condition again. The south end path was mostly fine except for a zone where the vine maple rapidly grows. You will notice a new-ish path cutting along to the south (from the southmost routes). This path travels along the base of the southernmost cliff scarp to reach a new bolted route that Pete established in 2023. A number of new bolted routes were established on the very northernmost end of the cliff scarp as well (those are easily accessed via the north path).
