FIXED ANCHORS
This group inspects MCS age-related fixed anchor factors and if need resolves it via upgrade/replacement. This group utilizes modern effective methods and tools to achieve long-term use capacity (i.e. using stainless steel bolts and zinc plated bolts). CCA recommends basic enhanced fixed anchor guidelines or concepts. Plus, analyze processional data on rock climbing route non-disparity margins and relative potential minimization options, versus enhanced yield recreational value (such as belay stations near the top of certain routes). Research and utilize new technological innovations on enhanced application concepts in fixed anchor protection methods.
Objectively utilize existing fixed gear to its designed maximum age capacity through analysis (or stress testing where applicable), and effectively re-utilizing existing bore hole chambers (where the old material is successfully removed) to extend the super-life span of the existing original placement zone.
Additionally, visiting climbers at Monte Cristo Slab crag may find it beneficial to carry a mini-wrench (that either the leader or follower carries attached to a harness) and tighten a loose hanger bolt you may encounter on a route. The spinner hanger issue occurs only on the stainless steel bolts. Winter's snow load / avalanche conditions can effect the bolt nut in specific locations where the snow load force is maximized. Though stainless bolts are an ideal long term bolt in most instances, in this particular instance are a crag problem.
